Stress can manifest itself in many ways, such as: rapid heart rate, irritable bowel syndrome, nightmares, poor appetite, not to mention domestic arguments and panic attacks. Sometimes clients can get caught up in self-suggested demands, like “I should be able to cope with all the work-load, if I can’t cope with it, it just shows I am a useless person”.

These ‘absolute’ demands are unhelpful and can lead to disturbance when they are not met. Cognitive work can help clients gain a more rational perspective to get insight into their responses, or feel that their responses are ‘sub-conscious’ or automatic. 

Our main objective is to help clients more easily cope with the demands of their life. In our sessions we will examine a range of approaches that include various counselling methods and stress management techniques, such as: mindfulness therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), counselling, NLP and hypnotherapy and more, aiming to strengthen the ability of the clients to learn new thinking patterns and behaviors and to regulate their own emotions. In other words, we enhance their brain function.

Sandy's therapy goes beyond the typical psychological and psychotherapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, you will learn how to think differently and act on that learning. Research has demonstrated that our emotional problems are determined not by events, but largely by the self-defeating beliefs we have about these events.

Sandy helps you by teaching you to recognize and change those beliefs that result in emotional problems such as stress, anxiety, guilt, anger, etc enabling you to kick in your relaxation system, make greater use of your potential and help you to achieve your long-term goals.
